The practice of Yoga transformed my life. It got me in touch with my true self, developed a deeper awareness and profound understanding that opened my heart and mind to the limitless possibilities in life. I found that Yoga is extremely needed in the stressful environment of corporate workers. Since the 9 to 5 hard-working family people do not have the time to fit any type of exercise in their demanding daily schedule I decided to bring Yoga to their workplace. This became a passion of mine as I get to witness on a daily basis a positive change, progress and with time a total transformation on their physical, mental and emotional well being. Aside from all the great physical benefits Yoga has to offer it is also a mental practice that helps quiet the mind, improves focus, positive and clear thinking. It builds confidence and creates a deeper awareness that encourages a healthy-mindful life style. The workers are healthier, happier, more energized, motivated and highly productive.

I am Certified in Astanga and classical Hatha, my class's focus is on staying connected to the inner self with emphasis on breathing, developing body and mind awareness, as well as core strength, muscle tone, improved posture, balance and inner confident.  I believe that the practice can be adaptable to suit every body when attending the specific needs of the individual and I encourage practitioners to listen to their bodies and work in a way that feels safe to them while having fun with their practice.

I am currently a program director at Yoga teacher training programs, leading spiritual retreats and various workshops and on the journey to become a Yoga therapist at the Yoga Therapy school in Toronto.

Associate Professor

I graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Sciences, with specializations in the areas of biology and psychology. From there, I attained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College with clinical honours. I believe continuing education is fundamental to life long learning, completing my Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Sciences.

Sharing my passion for teaching, yoga and wellness has been an integral part of my life. As a chiropractor, I look for natural, evidenced based methods to assist my patients in leading pain-free lives. As a certified yoga instructor, I work to create both passion and growth in my students, helping them to enjoy both the physical and mental benefits of practice. I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring yoga and wellness directly to the office setting, where it can provide the most impact on stress release and productivity. I have proudly seen students transfer their lives, simply by incorporating mindfully movement and meditation into their work days.

My passion lies with spreading knowledge in dynamic, and engaging ways. I love watching confidence and optimism about the future grow in my students eyes. Through lunch and learn programs, wellness classes and healthy living seminars I adapt topics to fit any audience.
